Sommerset Pointe condos are laid out in an L formation. One on side of the L is where the original condos were developed in a six-plex configuration. Essentially, there are six 4 bedroom condos (upper) and six 3 bedroom condos (lower). These condos were soundproofed and are very close to the beach. At the opposite end of the L is the second iteration of condos which was a fourplex or quadplex configuration.  In the quadplex layout, there are two 4 bedroom condos (upper) and two 3 bedroom condos (lower). These condos were not soundproofed and are the furthest from the beach but the closest to the Marina and restaurant. The last layout is the duplex which consists of a four-bedroom condo (upper) over a three-bedroom condo (lower). These condos were not soundproofed and are somewhat in the middle of the L allowing for easy access to the beach, marina, and restaurant.

The Charlevoix Intermediate School District (Char-Em ISD) is responsible for students in the Boyne City area.
