The refined 1- and 2-bedroom suites feature kitchenettes, living areas with pull-out sofas, and balconies or terraces with water views. They also come with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Some suites add fireplaces and/or whirlpool tubs.

The hotel has a casual bistro and a BBQ area. Other amenities include a heated indoor/outdoor pool, a hot tub, a fitness room, and a sauna. Massage treatments are available, and there's also a salon.

Since January of 2021, the average sales price for a two bedroom Edgewater Inn condominium in downtown Charlevoix, Michigan is $388,566, with a low of $350,000 in 2021 and a high of $417,500 in 2021. During the same timeframe, the average sales price for a one bedroom Edgewater Inn condominium in downtown Charlevoix, Michigan is $210,330 with a low of $54,900 in 2021 and a high of $380,000 in 2022. Note: There were two sales of non-waterfront condominiums ($54,900 and $60,000) which certainly skews the data a bit.

The Charlevoix Intermediate School District (Char-Em ISD) is responsible for students in the Charlevoix area. Char-Em ISD serves local school districts within Charlevoix, Emmet, and northern Antrim counties.  The districts within their service area cover approximately 1,100 square miles and collectively operate 11 local public schools, three public school academies, and six private schools, serving more than 9,000 students. Charlevoix Public Schools offer the following: 

  • Charlevoix Elementary School
  • Charlevoix Middle School/Charlevoix High School 
  • St. Mary's School is a Catholic Elementary and Middle School that is located in Charlevoix.

There is a tuition-free public Montessori education for Kindergarten through 12th grade.  This is a unique opportunity for children in the Charlevoix area – a public school Montessori education.
