Young Americans in Harbor Springs, Michigan

Since 1978, The Young Americans Dinner Theatre has been entertaining and enchanting audiences of all ages, making it one of Boyne Highlands’ most popular traditions, and a Michigan dinner theatre destination. The Young Americans ensemble is made up of young, up-and-coming performers, handpicked from across the nation for much-anticipated performances at Boyne Highlands each June, July, and August. To enhance the experience, the Broadway-style performances are paired with sophisticated cuisine, resulting in an unforgettable evening of delicious fun. While you enjoy dinner, The Young Americans sing songs – from the classics you’ve always loved to today’s favorite pop hits. Watch as charismatic young singers, dancers, and actors dazzle on stage while you savor the satisfaction of the evening – and create the kind of memories that set Boyne Highlands apart.

Harbor Springs Lyric Movie Theater

Another important part of the community is the Lyric Theatre which is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit movie theater offering first run, classic, & family-favorite movies on Main Street in Harbor Springs, Michigan.  The theatre serves as an economic engine and brings people to restaurants and shops downtown.  Each of the three theatres at the Lyric has its theme and experience. The largest one, which can seat 205 people, has a starry ceiling with Northern Michigan’s August constellations.

Murals on the walls make it feel like you’re sitting in the middle of the harbor.  The second was designed to make viewers feel like they’re sitting in a railroad car, which is how many people traveled to Northern Michigan before automobiles became popular.  The third theatre’s theme has yet to be decided, though it will likely be winter-related to promoting visiting the community year-round.
