Charlevoix became a village in 1871 and a city in 1905. The city has been a summer vacation destination for decades. Unless you can spend the entire summer, Charlevoix offers far more things to enjoy than you you’ll ever be able to experience during a single vacation.
Things to Do in Charlevoix
Charlevoix offers many places to visit and things to do for you to try. There are summer activities such as baseball games at the Carpenter Ball Fields and Fourth of July festivities. Since Charlevoix is on Lake Michigan, waterfront activities such as sunning on beaches, boat rentals, and charter boat tours are available.
