Belvedere Golf Club

Belvedere was designed in 1925 by famed architect, William Watson, who is best known for classic and major championship designs across America including Olympia Fields in Chicago, Interlachen in Minneapolis, The Olympic Club in San Francisco, and others. With five teams of horses and 150 men, the brilliant Scotsman turned a farm on the outskirts of the small Lake Michigan village of Charlevoix into one of the most iconic and enjoyable courses in America.

In 2017, the historic club turned back the clock and restored the popular course bringing back many of the strategies that Watson originally intended.  Belvedere offers a golf experience that is different from today’s modern golf courses. A “Minimalist” design is the best way to describe the 18-hole private golf club. This is pure golf as it was meant to be played. Charlevoix Country Club

Charlevoix Country Club (now part of A-Ga-Ming Resort) is a four-star (Golf Digest Places to Play) Jerry Matthews design that affords golfers with an opportunity to play a public course that boasts private club conditioning and service. Water dominates the landscape here, as many holes weave their way across and around significant lakes, ponds, and natural areas. There are just a couple of forced carries, however, as these hazards mostly lie on the perimeter, helping to define the beautifully manicured bent grass fairways. 

The clubhouse is upscale all the way and features a pro shop plus a nicely appointed restaurant and lounge that serves Sunday Brunch as well as lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Members have considerable other benefits including a private lounge and locker rooms. A grass range is on the property, and a large practice green is situated near the clubhouse. Dunmaglas Golf Club

Tucked away in the scenic woods of Northern Michigan, Dunmaglas is quietly becoming known as one of the best golf courses in the country.
