Course Layout
Hole 1
This par four hole, with its dogleg, left and tree-lined fairway, is an excellent introduction to the Peaks Course's bent grass tees, greens, and fairways. Take note of the 75-foot trees that flank both fairways. You're out around 100 yards from the dogleg in. This is a narrow hole, so avoid being overly aggressive off the tee.
HOLE 2
This Par 3 is not to be taken lightly. This hole, despite its length, presents a challenge as you tee off over some lovely wetlands. You don't want to be too long because there isn't much room for error. Aim towards the front third of the green to be safe.
HOLE 3
The first hole at the Peaks with significant yardage and the most difficult. It's time to get out the big stick and unleash loose! It's a 180-yard carry across the wetlands and 200 yards to the fairway from the blue tees (if you hit it straight). The fairway narrows at 100 yards and the course plays uphill. Don't go too far right on your second shot, as you'll need the appropriate angle on your approach shot to get it on the right-hand green. The green surrounds play right to left, so take your approach shot to the right. Best of luck!
HOLE 4
Enjoy the vista from the tee, which includes some elevation, marshes, trees, and bunkers. Hole #4 is the second toughest hole on the course, so it will put your skills to the test. From the tee, take note of the marshes on the left and the fact that the fairway opens up on the right.
HOLE 5
This Par 4 features a dogleg right and a tight tee shot that takes you through some spectacular views. If you're playing the gold, blue, or black tees, play it safe and don't try to cut corners. This is a lovely approach shot, but it won't last long because the green slopes from back to front.
HOLE 6
It's one of the most picturesque holes on the course, with a dogleg left over a steep ravine. Keep your drive straight because you want a clear approach shot to the green. The pin is about 100 yards from the edge of the ravine, so hit your tee shot properly.
HOLE 7
This is the course's longest hole, so bring out the big stick again. From the blue or black tees, only a few players can reach the green in two. Play it safe and hit a beautiful second shot to the right of the green before launching your approach shot across the ravine.
HOLE 8
Because it is the smallest green on the course, hole #8 is a par three with minimal opportunity for error. From the tee, take in the sights and hit your club, as the yardage is accurate (elevation changes and wind are non-factors on this hole).
HOLE 9
There's no time to relax now; this generous par 4 will return you to the clubhouse, where you may tee off for another round of nine. Due to the green's elevation, add a club length between 140 and 170 yards.
