Planning a trip to the Manitou Islands? Going for a day on the beach? You’ll need lunch. The Village Cheese Shanty has been packing and “doing” lunch for almost 50 years. Pita sandwiches, baguette, and pretzel bread sandwiches filled with turkey, ham, roast beef, and chicken topped with spinach, Greek olives, pesto-mayo, three-pepper relish, guacamole make a heck of a picnic basket.
