Holiday Rail Jam – December 29th, 2019
The Holiday Rail Jam presented by Under Armour is open to all skiers and snowboarders who want to "lay it on the line" and show us what you got. This is a judged event and top finishers will walk away with some great prizes like Boyne gift cards and swag from the event sponsor. The rail jam will be a fast-moving competition with music, announcer and various divisions based on the number of entrants. Spectators are welcome so come on out and get ready for a great show.
Things to know:
- Registration 2 - 3:30 pm in the West Civic Center Lobby at Boyne Mountain.
- Entry Fee is $5.00
- Rail Jam will begin at 4 pm at a location to be determined
- Divisions are dependent upon who signs up but rest assured there will be divisions for boys, girls, skiers, and snowboarders
- Top finishers will receive BOYNE Gift Cards
- Swag give away from event sponsor
- All competitors must wear a helmet
Must be 18 years or older to sign the event waiver or have a parent or guardian present at registration to sign the waiver
New Years Eve December 31st, 2019
Ring in the new year Boyne Mountain style - with a firework display, parties for the whole family, and much more. Choose from a dinner party in Stein Eriksen's, a family buffet in the Civic Center, a Children's Party, and a Family Dance Party. With so much to do before the year ends - you simply can't go wrong at Boyne Mountain!
Community Appreciation Day – January 12th, 2020
In appreciation of local patronage and support of our resorts and operations, Boyne Mountain and Boyne Highlands are pleased to offer a full day of FREE, all-access skiing and snowboarding to residents of Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Emmet, and Otsego counties. Residents of these counties can show their driver's license or another form of identification with proof of residency at the resorts' lift ticket windows to receive a FREE lift ticket for the day.
- 9 am-4:30 pm - Complimentary skiing
- 10am-2pm - Free NASTAR
- 10am-4pm - Tubing $10/hour or $15 for two hour
- 3pm-9pm - Avalanche Bay $15/person
15th Annual Adgate Trophy Giant Slalom Competition – February 1ST, 2020
The Adgate Trophy race is hosted by Boyne's Ambassador of skiing, former Olympian, US National Champion, and 2009 US Ski Hall of Fame inductee Cary Adgate. The Adgate Trophy has historically attracted top talent from around the state and beyond. The course will be set on North Boyne. There will be divisions for men and women as well as age categories. The winners in the open divisions for men and women will have their names etched on the Adgate Trophy.
Everett Kircher Cup – February 2ND, 2020
Named after the founder of Boyne, Everett Kircher, this slalom race will take place on the hill that started it all in Northern Michigan, Hemlock. Still regarded as the premier race hill in Northern Michigan, Hemlock always provides plenty of challenges for top racers from all over the state and beyond. There will be divisions for men and women as well as age categories. The winners in the open divisions for men and women will have their names etched on the Kircher Cup.
Skier/Boarder Cross – January 19th, 2020
This event will pit racers against one another, in a spectacular double-elimination style tournament, based on the racers' age, gender, and discipline.
Each race heat has four racers on the course at the same time, firing out of their allocated gates when the starting gun bangs - and battling it out on a course that includes banked turns, jumps, and other obstacles. Race against your friends and see who the real king of the mountain is. The first one across the finish line wins! The event is open to skiers and snowboarders, and everyone must have a valid lift ticket or pass, helmet, and signed release form.
Presidents Weekend Fireworks – February 14-17, 2020
Join us as Boyne Mountain Resort celebrates Presidents' Weekend with a fireworks display from the top of Hemlock.
Best viewed from the base area in front of Clock Tower Lodge.
Ski for MS Challenge – February 29th, 2020
SKI for MS is the ski and snowboard event of the season. With on-mountain activities, swag, prizes, and a bomber après, SKI for MS brings together participants of all ages, abilities, and skill levels for an epic all-day event that transforms the lives of families living with MS.
Plus, Olympian Johnny Moseley is hosting all the fun! Meet the voice behind Warren Miller movies by participating in this very special event.
Join the SKI for MS Vertical Challenge: Make your vertical pledge, smash your fundraising goal, and spend five hours carving out as many vertical feet as possible! Earn your powder; spread empowerment. 100% of proceeds benefit families living with MS and a portion stays local at Challenge Mountain.
Kids Festival Weekend – March 13-15, 2020
From inflatable obstacle courses, paintball, and rock walls to family movies, dance parties, and coloring contests, Kids' Festival Weekend is geared towards kids of every age! Take on a variety of fun for the whole family both on and off the slopes.
11th Annual Ski Brew Festival – March 14th, 2020
Join Boyne for the 11th Annual Brew-Ski Festival, bringing together snow, craft beers, and entertainment, with fun on tap from morning through midnight - and beyond. Hit the slopes, share laughter with friends and join us at our sampling bars where brewery representatives from more than 150 breweries share their enthusiasm about more than 200 brews!
Carnival Weekend – March 20-22, 2020
Whether you are skimming the pond in our annual Slush Cup or getting jiggy with it during the On-hill Party, you are bound to laugh at yourself and your friends. Carnival Weekend isn't recommended for kids, just for the adults that want to act like kids again!
